Coach - Keith Kendal |

Coach Kendall returns to the program that he led to back to
back junior National Championships in 1989 & 1990. Keith
has coached in the Calgary Bantam Football Association for over
15 years while winning 10 City Championships & a Provincial
Div II Title. 6 years as a members of the University of Calgary
coaching staff including a Vanier Cup win in 1985. Accomplishments
include: Winner of the Football Alberta Bantam Coach of the
Year. 1989 Canadian Junior Football League Coach of the Year.
Football Alberta Life Time Achievement Award. Football Alberta
Norm Kimball Award. 1983 Calgary Booster Club Sportsman of the
Year Award. |
| Offensive
Coordinator - Rob McNab |

Coach
McNab is a product of Calgary Amateur Football. McNab is a
former Rookie of the Year as a Calgary Colts Quarterback in
1982. He was also quarterback for 4 years as a member of the
University of Calgary Dinos, including a Vanier Cup Championship
in 1985. Coach McNab spent 4 years on the Calgary Colts coaching
staff, 1 year as QB coach and 3 as the offensive coordinator.
Two of those years were during the teams only two National
Championships in 1989 and 1990. He has been the Co-Head Coach
of the Cochrane High School Cobras for the past 16 years and
in that time has led them to 6 Provincial titles. Coach McNab
has been a guest coach over the years for both the Colts and
the Dinos and has been a guest speaker at several clinics.
He has been awarded the Rocky View Football League Coach of
the Year 5 times, Tier 2 and Tier 3 Football Alberta Coach
of the Year, including being the recipient of the Norm Kimball
award.

Backs / Special Teams - Lorne Hass |

Coach
Hass enters his third season with the Colts as RB and Special Teams
Coach. Lorne has been involved in the Calgary football community for
25 years - from Pee Wee through to Junior football as Coach, Director
and President. He has been selected to coach 11 CBFA Selects teams,
as well as selected by Football Alberta to coach 4 Alberta Summer Games
teams - 2 Gold Medals (1997 & 2002) and 2 Bronze Medals (1995, 2000).
Lorne has been a member of 4 Coaching Staff of the Year Awards (1992,
1993, 1996 & 1999). He has made numerous guest coaching appearances
with the Colts, Dinos as well as Senior Bowl selection camps. Level
III NCCP Certification. |
| Receivers
- Randy Halsted |

Coach
Halsted returns to the Colts as he too was part of the coaching
staff that brought the Junior National Champsionship to Calgary
in 1990. For three seasons he was with John G. Diefenbaker High
School coaching the offense and helping the Chiefs to two Division
II City final appearances. From 1999 to 2003 Coach Halsted was
Head Coach at E.P. Scarlett where he built a program that was
floundering and turned it into one of the top programs in Division
I. He was also Reiever Coach at the University of Calgary for
two seasons in 1997 and 1998. Before he got into coaching he
played for the Dinos from 1984 to 1987 where he was a starter
in '86 and '87 and on the 1985 National Championship Team.

Line - Adam Blasetti |

Coach
Blasetti is entering his third season as Offensive Line Coach
with the Calgary Colts coaching staff. Adam played 4 years with
the Calgary Colts as an Offensive Lineman as was a conference
All Star in 1999.He then played years as a starter for University
of Calgary Dinos from 2000-2003. He attended a free agent camp
with the Stampeders in 2003 |
| Offensive
Line Asst. - Mitch Hoschka |

Coach Hoschka is enterning his second season as an assistant
Offensive Line coach with the Calgay Colts coaching staff. Mitch
was a starter with the 1999 Provincial Senior Bowl team and
was also a member of Team Alberta of the Canada Cup that same
year. Mitch then started four years with the University of Calgary
Dinos from 1999 to 2004, and attended two consecuitive CFL camps
in 2004 and 2005 with the Montreal Allouettes. He has been involved
with coaching at various development camps and clinics and is
looking forward to another exciting year with the Colts program.

Line - Frank Guido |

Frank
Guido is a first year coach with the Colts. With over 11 seasons
of coaching experience at the Midget, Bantam and Pee Wee levels,
Frank has achieved two CBFA Division-1 City Championships and
one CBFA Division-2 City Championship all with the Hilltoppers
Football Club. He has been selected to the CBFA Calgary Selects
staff 3 times and won a Silver Medal with the 2006 Alberta Summer
Games team. Frank played for 11 seasons including 4 with the
Calgary Colts from 1994 - 1997, and won two Division-1 high
school city championships with the St. Francis Browns in 1991
and 1993. |
| Linebackers
- Biaggio Iannace |

Coach Iannace is enters his second year as a member of the Colts
coaching staff. Coach Biag played his way up through the minor
football programs in Calgary, beginning with 2 CityChampionships
with the Bantam Colts. He was named the 1982 Calgary High School
Italian Athlete of the Year. Played Linebacker for the Calgary
Dinos from 1982 to 1987 and won Vanier Cups in 1983 and 1985.
He is currently, the Midget Colts Head Coach after winning 2
Midget Championships as an assistant coach in 2003 and 2005.
Biag has also coached 6 years with Calgary Bantam Football and
at the High School level. He is a 20 veteran with the Calgary
Police Service |

Defensive Backs - Mike Schwieder |

Coach
Schwieder is entering his third year with the Colts and he is bringing
4 years of playing experience as a safety for the U of C Dino to the team.
Coach Schwieder has also coached defensive backs and special teams for four
seasons with the Bantam and Midget Mavericks from 2003-2005 and was part
of the 2003 Coaching Staff of the Year. As a player he was provincial
Champion in 1995 with the St. Francis Browns and a City Campion in 1996
and played in the 1997 Senior Bowl. |

Backs - Yorgo Nikolakis |

Yorgo is entering his first full season as the Colts
Defensive backs coach, having guest coached with the team
throughout the off-season and main camp last year. Yorgo
brings 8 seasons of coaching experience, one at Ross Sheppard
high school in Edmonton and 7 in the Midget and Bantam
Hilltoppers program in Calgary. In 2007 he was the assistant
head coach and defensive coordinator of the City Championship
Bantam Hilltoppers and was selected to the Bantam Selects St.
Louis All Star tournament Defensive Coordinator position. Yorgo
has also been selected as defensive coordinator to coach the
2008 U17 team in 2008. He began his playing career at Ross
Sheppard high school as a defensive back and quarterback,
followed by 2 years with the Edmonton Jr. Wildcats at
defensive back. |

Quaterback Coach - Ray Salverda |

Entering his first season with the Colts, Coach Ray Salverda
brings to the team 17 years of experience at various levels.
His teams have won seven division titles, four city championships
and two Tier I provincial championships. Ray was a member of the 2004
Rockyview Coaching Staff of the Year, and has also guest coached at
camps and clinics for the University of Calgary, University of Alberta
and several Junior teams throughout Canada . From 1983 to 1984, Ray was
the starting Quarterback for the Surrey Rams. The Rams were the Division
Champions in '84 and Ray was awarded the President’s Trophy as the team’s
MVP for that season. Coach Salverda is looking forward to one of many
great seasons with the Colts. |

Recievers Coach - Corey Allison |

Coach Corey Allison enters his first season with the Colts as the
receivers coach. A native of Moncton, New Brunswick, Coach Corey
began his coaching career with the New Brunswick under 19 team.
Upon moving to Calgary in 2002, coach Allison began coaching as
an assistant receiver coach with the U of C Dinos. Since then, he’s
coached receivers at Springbank High, Western High, and Midget Falcons.
Holding an NCCP Lev. 3 coaching certificate and specializing in the
fundamentals of receiving, he gets the most out his receivers. Coach
Allison played receiver for the Acadia University Axemen and as a
possession receiver, worked through every receiver position in a true
spread offence, helped Acadia to consistent and successful seasons. |

Equipment Manager - Barry Hunter |

Barry is entering his 2nd season as the Colts Equipment Manager, after
coming over from the Edmonton Huskies.He transferred to Calgary from
Edmonton with Northern Athletic Inc. (wholesale sports equipment and team
uniforms) as the District Manager. Born in Rider Pride city of Regina Saskatchewan,
football has been a big part of his life. Barry played minor and high school football
in BC and was later forced into quick retirement with 3 concussions in junior ball.
He returns to coach his 19th season with the South Calgary Midgets Colts as the
Offensive Coordinator. Previously, he coached the Tri-County Freeze to a
Division 2 Championships and coaching the Leduc Ti-cats to a Provincial Championship.
Although bleeding green with rider pride, he now also bleeds navy and red as he
looks forward to 2008 and the Colts making a run for the PFC Championship
and… a run at the National Championship. |
